• 1 12 oz. bag Decas Farms Fresh (or Frozen) Cranberries
  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider or juice
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp allspice
  • 1 Tablespoon orange zest
  • 2 Tablespoons maple syrup ( optional)


Place cranberries, sugar, cider, nutmeg, and spices in a medium saucepan and bring to a simmer. Add the zest and syrup, if using.   Allow the cranberries to burst (about 10 minutes).  As this happens the mixture will thicken.  If you want whole berries in your sauce, remove the sauce from heat as soon as it begins to pop, if you want your sauce smooth, allow it to remain on the heat 5 more minutes and stir.
